This collection of 12 articles by scholars and community leaders from both Canada and Italy offers new insights into the emigration, immigration, and integration experience of Italians from north-eastern Italy (Friuli-Venezia Giulia) and from present-day Slovenia and Croatia (Istria, Fiume, Dalmatia). The collection includes general overviews of their immigration to Canada, studies on the experiences of individual immigrants, and articles on their contributions to Italian-Canadian literature. The volume is an extremely insightful addition to the history of two Italian immigrant groups whose experiences in North America are otherwise not well-known.
